11 Rituals to Clear Debt

Sound familiar?

You pay every month. The weight never seems to lift.

The EMI date is circled on the calendar, and you dread it every month.

You avoid opening the credit card statement because you already know what it says.

You pay and pay, yet the balance barely moves.

Money worries follow you into family dinners and keep you awake at night.

Debt is not a curse or a punishment. In the tradition it is a block in the flow of wealth, and blocks can be cleared.

The method

Five deities. One clear path out of debt.

Each ritual in Rin Mukti works with the deity the tradition links to one part of the problem. You are never just praying in general: you know who to call on, on which day, and why.

01

Ganesha

Removes the obstacle of debt itself. Your practice begins with him, on Wednesdays.

02

Mangal

Lord of loans and EMIs. The core practice runs over 21 Tuesdays, with a payment each week.

03

Hanuman

Gives you the courage and strength to face debt instead of avoiding it.

04

Shiva

Burns away poverty, lack and scarcity thinking, on Monday evenings.

05

Shani

Eases delays, slow repayment and setbacks, and rewards steady, honest effort.

ॐ

“Repay on Tuesday, never borrow on Tuesday. Tuesday belongs to Mangal, the lord of debt. Build your repayments around his day, and let every payment become a release.”

The Tuesday rule, from Part 1 of Rin Mukti

The Tuesday Repayment Blessing

Purpose: Turn every debt payment into a sacred act of release.
Best time: Every Tuesday, and whenever you make an EMI or loan payment.
You will need: The payment itself (cash, cheque, or your phone with the payment screen open) and your altar.

1. Before paying, stand at your altar holding the payment.
2. Chant the mantra 11 times.
3. Say: “With this payment, I release this debt. May it never return.”
4. Make the payment.
5. Record it and touch your forehead in gratitude.

The mantra

ॐ गणेश ऋणं छिन्धि वरेण्यं हुं नमः फट्

Om Ganesh Rinam Chhindi Varenyam Hum Namah Phat

Even an extra ₹100 paid on a Tuesday keeps your momentum alive. Repay on Tuesday; never borrow on Tuesday.

That is one of 11. The other 10 are waiting inside, including the 21-Tuesday Mangal program, Shiva’s hymn against poverty and the new-moon release.

The 21-Tuesday plan

Ritual on its own is a wish. Ritual with repayment is a plan.

About 20 minutes every Tuesday for 21 weeks, plus a few minutes on other days. Each Tuesday pairs the Mangal ritual with a real payment, so your practice shows up on your statement, not only in your prayers.

Before you begin

Make your Debt Map

Write every loan, card and EMI on one page. Then do the new-moon release with that list in hand.

Every Tuesday

Mangal and repayment

The Mangal ritual, the repayment blessing and a payment, however small. Mark it on your tracker.

Every Wednesday

Clear one obstacle

The Rinharta Ganesha practice. Then make the call, fill the form or have the conversation you have been avoiding.

Monday and Thursday

Steady the mind

Shiva for scarcity thinking, Vishnu for stability. Review the week’s budget.

Saturday

Patience and service

The Shani lamp. Be patient with delays, and help someone who serves you.

Each debt you clear

Celebrate and roll over

The gratitude ritual. Then roll that payment into the next-smallest debt: the snowball grows.

Questions

Before you begin

Will these rituals clear my debt?

No ritual can make a debt disappear, and you should be wary of anyone who says otherwise. These practices bring focus, courage and steadiness and, in the tradition’s understanding, grace. That is why every Tuesday’s ritual is paired with a real payment. Grace and action together are the path.

Do I need a guru or initiation (diksha)?

No. Every practice in the book is a household ritual traditionally open to sincere beginners. Practices that require initiation, or that aim to control or harm anyone, are deliberately left out.

I’m deep in debt and very stressed. Is this right for me?

It can be a steady, calming part of your plan, alongside practical help. If you are struggling to make payments, please also speak to your lender about restructuring, or to a qualified credit counsellor. If money worries are affecting your sleep or health, talk to someone you trust, or call Tele-MANAS on 14416.

How much time does it take each day?

The core Tuesday practice takes about 20 minutes. The other rituals take 10 to 20 minutes each, and you don’t need to do them all. At minimum, keep Tuesday: the Mangal ritual, the repayment blessing and a payment.

Do I need to buy expensive items?

No. The rituals use simple things: a ghee or oil lamp, red flowers, jaggery, red lentils, a mala and an image of Ganesha. Never take a new loan to buy ritual items or to pay for a remedy.

What if I miss a Tuesday?

Don’t start over. Continue the next Tuesday and add one extra mala. The tradition values steady return over perfection.

What language is it in?

Clear, simple English. Every mantra is written in easy-to-read transliteration with a pronunciation guide, so you can chant it with confidence.

How do I get the book after I pay?

Instantly. You'll get a download link on the thank-you page and by email. The PDF works on your phone, tablet or computer, and the tracker pages are ready to print.
