Meaning, Worship and Meditation on the Queen of Yantras
Sound familiar?
You own a Sri Yantra, but no one ever told you what to do with it.
Sellers charge large sums for “energised” yantras with guaranteed results.
You don’t know if your yantra is even drawn correctly.
You want to meditate on it, but the texts feel closed and complicated.
The Sri Yantra is the most revered yantra in the tradition. It is a map of the path from the outer world to the still centre of your own being.
The geometry, from outside in
Look at a Sri Yantra and you will see five parts. The book walks you through each one, enclosure by enclosure.
01
The outer square with a gate on each of its four sides.
02
Concentric rings between the square and the lotuses.
03
A ring of 16 petals, then a ring of 8.
04
Four pointing up for Shiva, five pointing down for Shakti, forming 43 smaller triangles.
05
A single point at the very centre, where the Goddess is said to reside.
ॐ
“No matter how wide the outer square, the centre is always still.”

Practice 01
Choosing a Genuine Sri Yantra
Purpose Choose a yantra that is accurate and honestly sold.
1. Choose the material: copper, brass, silver, sphatik or a print.
2. Check the geometry: the triangle points should meet precisely.
3. Choose a size: 3 to 6 inches for a home altar.
4. Be wary of costly “siddh” yantras with guaranteed results.
You will energise it yourself with sincere practice

A gift before you buy
This is Practice 9 from the book, a short practice for returning to stillness anytime. You don’t even need a yantra in front of you.
Practice 09 · Meditation
Purpose: A short, powerful practice for returning to stillness anytime.
Best time: Before sleep, after a stressful meeting, during a break. 5 to 10 minutes.
You will need: Nothing; or a small Sri Yantra image on your phone or desk.
1. Glance at the bindu of a yantra, or picture a single point of soft golden light.
2. Close your eyes. Place that point at your heart centre.
3. Breathe in and silently hear “So”. Breathe out and silently hear “Ham”.
4. With each breath, let the point become more still and more luminous.
5. Let thoughts and sounds circle around the point like the outer enclosures, without disturbing it.
6. Rest in the stillness, then open your eyes.
The mantra
सोऽहम्
So’ham
“I am That.” The bindu has no size, no shape, no direction: the image of pure awareness before it becomes anything.
That is one of 12. The other 11 are waiting inside, including installing your yantra, trataka on the bindu and the inward journey through the nine enclosures.
The 40-day Sri Yantra sadhana
Twenty to thirty minutes a day for 40 days, beginning on a Friday in the waxing moon. Forty days completes the energising of your yantra and builds a lasting inner connection.
Daily
Daily worship, 108 chants of the Lalita mantra, the phase meditation and one line in your tracker.
Days 1 to 10
Trataka, until you can see the yantra with eyes closed.
Days 11 to 20
The Shiva-Shakti breath, bringing calm and energy into balance.
Days 21 to 30
The inward journey through the nine enclosures.
Days 31 to 40
The yantra within: recognising it as your own being.
Every Friday
Kumkum archana or the Shree prosperity ritual.

Questions
Will the Sri Yantra bring me wealth?
The yantra is traditionally worshipped for prosperity and auspiciousness, and the book includes a Friday prosperity ritual. But no yantra replaces effort, financial planning or good decisions, and no honest book can guarantee results.
Do I need a guru or initiation (diksha)?
No. Every practice in the book is a household ritual traditionally open to sincere beginners. Practices that require initiation, or that aim to control or harm anyone, are deliberately left out.
Do I need to buy an expensive yantra?
No. A well-drawn print is excellent for meditation and study, and the book includes an accurate reference drawing. If you buy a metal yantra later, the buyer’s guide shows you how to check the geometry and the seller.
How much time does it take each day?
Daily worship takes 10 to 15 minutes. The bindu meditation takes 5 to 10, and the 40-day sadhana 20 to 30 minutes a day.
Do I need to buy expensive items?
No. A yantra or print, a lamp, incense, a flower and a little kumkum or sandalwood.
Is Sri Yantra worship only for initiates?
The deepest Sri Vidya practices are traditionally initiated, and the book does not teach them. Everything here, from daily worship to meditation, is an open devotional practice anyone can do.
What language is it in?
Clear, simple English. Every mantra is written in easy-to-read transliteration with a pronunciation guide, so you can chant it with confidence.
How do I get the book after I pay?
Instantly. You'll get a download link on the thank-you page and by email. The PDF works on your phone, tablet or computer, and the tracker pages are ready to print.
